That one at the Brewery Tap rocked my socks off. It went down such a treat, I
had to worry whether her knees would ache afterwards. We rocked so damn hard we
got a call back for November (in doors this time though – it’s hard to play
mandolin in gloves!). A big shout out to Mr Sourbutts for stepping in at the
last moment as support act. And taa to everyone who popped down, I got
particularly aroused with the spontaneous audience participation in The Raven!
(If you are anywhere near youtube you can check out some of the action).
In additional exciting news, the boys of Dave have all now got their busking
licenses, so on the rare chance there is a nice Saturday afternoon in Derby
between now and whenever, you may well see the Davettes doing their thing, (i.e.
mutual musical masturbation for the masses).
We have taken the great pleasure this month of booking another 4 gigs leading up
to Xmas, with a special Dave ‘hootenanny’ being planned closer to the big day
itself (further details to be announced). Playing Derby, Ilkeston, Leicester
soon, check out usual listing for details, original-dave.com, myspace, facebook,
yada yada yada.
So anyways, that’s it from me, step away from the hash-pipe and turn off the
Iron Butterfly, you’re in Dave’s mind now.
Hugs and kisses and swollen members.
Dave
PS Don't forget - our next big self-promoted gig
is Saturday 26th September, at The Brunswick Inn (Derby), starting from 7PM,
with support from The Maybeez and Satnams Tash, all for the princely sum of £3.
